‘Europe’ by Christof Plümacher


“I do like structure in my imagery, it is a little obsession in most of the work. I do like a certain cleanlyness as well – that is also why I have a hang for fog and snow – two factors that naturally remove distractions in a picture. The series “Europe” began with the chapter “…so british” and developed from there.”

“I looked at the lawn bowling field for several days without camera – and then decided to shoot it in a way that reduces the elements in the pic to the players and the playing ground (in lieu of snow and fog , see above)– no or as little destractions from those two elements as possible. As the results were satisfying, I decided to look at more topics that fit the scheme and the series “Europe “ evolved.” Christof Plümacher
